Senior Java Software Engineer
Expert System develops software that understands the meaning of written language, which are based upon a patented technology that employs millions of definitions, concepts and relationships. The Expert System software applications read and understand multiple languages the way people do, with the speed and precision required to discern, manage and utilize large volume of strategic information.
The technology used transforms the way people find, comprehend and use information.
The role will be part of the dynamic and growing Italian Research & Development team and work at the intersection of software development and technology, closely with product owners and researchers.

The essential competences are motivation and curiosity, together with the will to accept new challenges in a dynamic work environment in order to work closely with project owners and back-end engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions to web development issues.

Required skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Data Science
Backend: Java, Python, SOAP/Rest, XML/JSON;
Database: SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB;
Development cycle: GIT, SVN, Maven, Artifactory, Jenkins, Selenium, Junit, Redmine;
Web Server/Application Server: Tomcat, WebSphere;
Operating systems: Windows and Linux;
IDE: IntelliJ, Eclipse, Visual Code;
Vue.js, AngularJS, Node JS (+NPM), Webpack, HTML5, CSS + SASS knowledge;
Team playing with experience working in an Agile development process;
Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), demonstrated problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive and willing to take ownership;
Good knowledge of English.
You will be based in Modena or Rovereto.
The position is open to candidates that have al least 2 years of experience of software development experience in a corporate technological environment and experience working with Java and JEE.
People that hold a degree in Computer Science will be considered a plus.
